1 · Set up your device
Unbox and power on
Software is pre-installed at the factory, so the tool is ready to use immediately.
Connect to Wi-Fi
On tablet models, connect to Wi-Fi to complete registration and receive updates.
Register your device
Open the User Info / Registration menu to unlock updates and technical support.
2 · Update your software
Wi-Fi tablets — including the CR Ultra, CR Unicorn, CR Eagle, CR MAX and V4.0 series — support OTA updates: open the Upgrade menu and tap to install. Older models update via a Windows PC. See the Software Updates page for full details.
3 · Run your first diagnosis
Connect to the vehicle
Plug into the OBD-II port (compatible models also connect wirelessly).
Select your vehicle
Run Auto Scan, or pick the specific system you want to diagnose.
Read, clear or service
Read & clear fault codes, view live data, or perform service functions as needed.
